Onlyfans launches free app with videos from mainstream creators…and Mia Khalifa
Fan club heavy-hitter Onlyfans has announced the launch of a new app called “OFTV”, which offers free video content from Onlyfans creators. The app was quietly released in January, but Onlyfans has only now started heavily promoting it. The OFTV app does not contain adult content, which allows it to comply with the anti-sex-work policies of Google and Apple, enabling it to benefit from wide distribution through their app stores, as well as through Amazon Fire TV and Roku. Although the app does not contain adult content, it features a video series that interviews creators including Mia Khalifa, Holly Madison, and Bella Thorne. The content is not monetized, though one assumes there is a clear call-to-action for viewers to subscribe to the creators’ locked content. Is this another way that Onlyfans is seeking to shed its reputation as a purveyor of porn?
