Cam4 introduces “boost” feature for paid placement

Cam site Cam4 is now offering models the opportunity to improve their cam room’s placement by paying for a “boost”. For 25 tokens, a model can improve their site placement by half (i.e. if you are 48th on the page you’ll become 24th, if you are 6th on the page you’ll become 3rd, etc) for 5 minutes. A performer can boost their placement at any time while they are streaming, and can use the feature as much as they want. After clicking the “boost” button, there will be an on-screen graphic showing the 5 minute countdown. At the end of the 5 minutes, a message in the chat window will display how many viewers you gained during the boost period, and your placement will be recalculated based on your new viewer count.
Members can also purchase boosts for their favorite performers for 25 tokens. The broadcaster will receive a message showing which member paid for the boost. Only 1 boost may be active at a time.
